Quick Comparison Conventional Brick and Mortar VS an Online Business

You are undecided if you should start a conventional Brick and Mortar Business in a Heavily Trafficked Mall or a Online Home Based Business. This in depth Comparison should help you decide.

Not too Long ago while on vacation in Palm Springs CA with my wife we decided to have some Ice Cream. We saw this ice cream store and the line was out the door and down the block. There was another Ice Cream store directly across the street with no line so we went there. The Ice Cream at this near empty Store was Really good. I said to my wife if the Ice Cream in this near empty store is this good and everyone else is on lined up across the street I have to know why?

Over the course of the next few Months we were in various Cities in Southern California from San Diego to Santa Barbara and every time we saw that Ice Cream Store the Line was out the door and down the Block. Then one day while we were in Santa Barbara we finally saw that ice cream Store with no Line. We went in and ordered the best Ice Cream we ever ate. By the Time we finished our Ice Cream’s the Line was out the Door and down the block.

Thinking about starting a business I went on the Internet and found the Web Site for that Ice Cream Store. It Turned out to be a Franchise and the Start-Up Cost’s were about $200,000. With a $50,000 Down Payment that means a Loan of about $150,000.
Adding on the Other Cost’s of running a Business like Store Leases, Labor, Franchise Fees, Inventory, Taxes, Utilities and Insurance the Monthly Expenses would be Somewhere between $4,000 - $6,000 Easy. At $3 an Ice Cream Cone you would need to sell 1,300 to 2,000 Cones Just to break even and an Additional 2,500 Ice Cream Cones to make a Yearly Profit of $60,000.

You can Start an Online Internet Store that operates 24 hours a Day 7 days a week with no overhead and No Startup cost’s for as little as $19.95 a Month. The only other Cost’s you would have would be for Advertising. Let’s say you spend $100 a Month on Advertising and Your Average Profit per Sale is $10. You would be in profit with just 13 Sales a Month.

Which would you rather have Brick and Mortar Business with $200,00 in start up cost’s and $4,000 to $6,000 a month in Expenses and a 70 Hour Work Week or an Online Home Based Business with no start up cost’s and $120 a Month in Expenses and a 10 Hour or less Work Week?

The Advancement in an Individuals Ability to Print Postage Stamps

When the USPS allowed customers to print postage stamps from online sources, they opened up a whole new world. Almost everyone has a need for postage at one point or another. It is safe to say that everyone will use at least one stamp in their lifetime. Before online postage a person had to go to the post office or other approved retailer to get a postage stamp. Sometimes this could be rather inconvenient and even annoying. With the availability to print postage stamps at home people are finding postage is no longer adding another errand to their day. They can easily and quickly get the postage they need right in the comfort of their own home.

There has been a way to print postage stamps for quite some time. Postage meters allow a person to print their own postage, too. These meters, though, cost a rental fee and are usually only found in businesses where the rental cost is outweighed by the amount of postage needed. In a home setting the person probably would not need enough postage to make this option reasonable. In addition, the postage meter has to be loaded at the post office when it runs out. What this means is that the meter owner puts a certain amount of postage on the machine and once it is used more has to be bought. This can be just as big of a hassle as running to the post office to purchase postage.

Online postage allows a person to print postage stamps without needing special equipment or having to ever visit the post office. There are a variety of postage sites that sell online postage. All a person needs to do is go to the website, purchase their postage and then print it on their home computer. It really is that simple.

The ability to print postage stamps has never been so easy. People have busy lives today and having this new convenience is greatly appreciated. Many people use these online postage services and have even printed their own postage today.

Make Your Articles Work Harder For You

You probably already know how effective article marketing can be to drive traffic to your site and to improve your search engine rankings. You spend some time each month or even each week to write and submit articles. Now you can make them work even harder for you by reusing them. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

Start out by combining several related articles into a free report. You can make this report available to your visitors and invite them to pass it on to friends and family. Of course you will have your resource box and several links to your site within the report.

You can also mention a free e-course within your report and create an e-course that expands on the idea you discussed in the free report or build the e-course around a related topic. Load your e-course into an auto-responder and start building your subscriber list.
You are creating a valuable list of people that you can keep coming back to your site. You can also sell your own products and affiliate products to the people on this list.

Take all the content you have compiled in your report and your e-course. Add some worksheets and flesh it out with some additional examples, tips and idea. You know have an e-book that you can sell.

Take the content from your e-book and teach a teleclass on the subject. This could be either a free teleclass or teleseminar, or a paid one. Make sure you record the seminar. You can combine your e-book along with the recording of the teleseminar, a transcript of the call and a workbook. You know have a multi-media e-course that you can sell as well.

The basic idea is to reuse your content as many times and in as many ways as possible to make the most out of the time you spend writing articles. It all starts with writing a few related articles.

Susanne Myers has been driving thousands of visitors to her sites by writing articles. For a free e-course on how you can do the same visit http://www.easy-article-marketing.com/ecourse.html

Working From Home, Are You Checking For Errors?

Today I completed an ad copy that we’ll be using in the coming days to promote discounts and different payment options at one of the websites I manage. As I would normally do whenever I write a new copy, I sent it to David for final review and any possible edits. This way we have a good working copy before it’s converted to an actual html sales page.

I was quite satisfied with the job I’d done and didn’t expect what would happen next. I received an email from David with a tip.. he suggested that I print the copy out and get Caron (my wife) to read it out to me. He mentioned that in doing so I could hear what it sounded like and I’ll be able to polish-up any areas that needed some work. No edits or other suggestions from David as he normally does, just his tip.

I did what he suggested..printed the copy and got Caron to read it to me as loud as she could without disturbing Bridget our pet dog :)

WOW! Over 11 silly mistakes that I didn’t notice, even after I read the copy before sending it out to David. Here I was, satisfied that I had done a good job only to realize that the silly mistakes that were made would have made us not only seem unprofessional, but it would have cost us X$ in sales.

My tip to you.. if you don’t already ask someone to read your work, start doing so now. Additionally, get them to read it loud, this makes a big difference.

Actress Shannon Elizabeth Is America's Sweetheart

What does actress Shannon Elizabeth, animals, and Christine Santos have in common?, They are all angels sent to us by some high power. Animal Avengers began rescuing and helping the cute critters of the world about 2 1/2 years ago and have three branches, all on the west coast in the gorgeous San Fernando Valley, LA, and South Bay. I sat down (ok, we sent e-mails back and forth) with Ms. Christine Santos recently and she gave me so much great information that I wish I had more room for a longer story, but maybe next issue. Animal Avengers began when actress Shannon Elizabeth and her husband helped a poor sick dog, but knew that they wanted to do more and as they say, the rest is history! Christine Santos is the South Bay Coordinator for Animal Avengers, a team leader, kennel coordinator, and the person who oversees the medical/health issues for the kennel dogs. (Who can say holy cow and when are you getting a medal of honor?) One of Christine’s favorite times working with Animal Avengers is when they participate in massive adoption days at large venues and people come from everywhere to welcome fur-faced creatures into their lives, homes, and hearts.

The “C’s” of Halloween Treats - Cider, Candy Corn, Caramel Corn, Pumpkin “C”-ds, Candied Apples

Halloween is a time for spooks and witches, but most of all… it is a time for candy and other good treats! Here are some of our absolute favorite Halloween treats:

Candy corn. What is Halloween without these wonderful orange, white, and yellow treats? Yes, corn tastes good, but candy corn tastes better!

Caramel apples (or candied apples). These make are a great treat to buy during the Halloween season. Buy them from a specialty candy shop, the grocery store, or make them yourself! Carmel apples most definitely taste best with Granny Smith apples. The tartness of these green apples contrasts nicely with the sweetness of the caramel and other goodies you dip you apples in.

Apple cider. Hot or cold, apple cider is a treat on Halloween, especially if you have some hot donuts to dip into it! Make sure that you go all out and buy fresh apple cider. It tastes so much better than the processed kind!

Donuts. Alright, so donuts are not normally too associated with Halloween, but when you eat them with cider, they are divine! Choose some with orange and black sprinkles to make them ultra festive.

Cooked pumpkin seeds. Everyone needs to carve out a jack-o-lantern on Halloween. Too often, a person will carve out a pumpkin and simply throw away all of the gook inside. These pumpkin seeds do not deserve to go into the trash! Clean them off, salt them up, add some spices like cayenne and paprika, bake them in the oven, and voila! You have a delicious Halloween treat.

Chili in a pumpkin “bowl.” Take some small bowls, cut off the tops and empty them out like you normally would when making a jack-o-lantern. Once they are hollow and clean, pour in your favorite soup, like chili. You can even replace the cut off top “lid” to keep the soup extra hot. You can be sure that everyone who you serve these to will be surprised and pleased to eat out of such a unique bowl.

“Fun-sized” candy. These little candy bites have recently become a staple of Halloween. Many households give them out as trick-or-treat candy, often allowing children to grab a whole handful. Most of the major candy bar brands make “fun-sized” candy especially for Halloween. Watch out, though, they may seem small, but after eating just three or so of these, you have eaten an entire candy bar’s worth!

Caramel popcorn. This stick treat is second only to the ever-popular candied apple.

Peeled grapes. All right, so peeled grapes are not truly a Halloween snack, but place them in a covered bowl and ask youngsters to stick their hand in. Tell them that it is a bowl full of eyeballs, and they very likely will believe you!

Many mainstream cookie brands and candy brands as well as other brands are starting to make Halloween treats. Of course, these treats are generally just like their other food products, only orange and/or black in color. Sometimes, the only difference is the packaging.

The best Halloween treats are, and always will be, the homemade kinds.

AUTORESPONDERS: EASE YOUR LIFE

AUTORESPONDERS: EASE YOUR LIFE

————————————————————
copyright (c) Pavel Lenshin
————————————————————

What every small business operator always lacks is time.
Sometimes lack of time leads to inefficiency, what in its
turn, leads to business failure even if you have plenty of
financial resources.

That is why there are so many programs designed to automate
every business step starting from sign up process and ending
with processing online payments.

Autoresponders play a special part. At the dawn of their
usage they greatly assist in solving the most time-consuming
business task that is customer support. Nowadays there are
other ways of how autoresponder can help with your everyday
routine tasks. Below are the most common tasks where
autoresponder fully reveal its potential:

1. Customer support;
2. Singup/unsubscription procedures;
3. Timely delivered emails;
4. Electronic materials on request;

Response tracking.
The usage of autoresponder as a customer support is based on
the topic your customer interests in. Whether it is problems
with program installation, billing or general question, it
will reply with pre-written answers the same moment email
was received from customer.

In very basic way autoresponder can simply notify
customer/visitor that his/her inquiry was received and will
be answered within 24 hours.

Subscription/unsubscription is also usually required instant
notification. The majority of existed mailing scripts have
an automatic notification feature, still in its basis it is
the same old autoresponder.

Ezine or newsletter subscription is not the only process
where autoresponder can give you a hand. They help in many
cases with all sorts of email notifications of successful
sale, accepted inquiry, thanking for completing the survey
and many other cases.

Next way of autoresponder usage proved to earn huge income
to many online entrepreneurs. Timely delivered follow up
emails that are based on autoresponder are widely recognized
as a must-have marketing strategy. The theory behind claims
that biggest customer response is gained at 8th contact
only. That is why business owners setup a follow up
autoresponder sequence that, when signup for, starts
emailing pre-written messages on specified time basis -
daily, every other day, weekly, biweekly etc, generating the
biggest possible response rate on complete autopilot,
without any need of owner interference.

Email courses are small variation of previous strategy. They
were designed to educate interested people, work the same
way as product follow-ups do, still serving as a perfect
marketing tool for generating subscribers, customers without
any hassle.

Publications on request play another important role. It may
be articles, reports, brochures, schemes, ebooks, audio,
video files, any electronic media may be emailed in the body
of the email message or as an attachment to every person
immediately on their request and to an email box they
considered to be the fastest to download from, presumably,
ISP’s.

As strange as it may seem, autoresponder may be used for
tracking response rate as well. For instance, by putting
slightly different autoresponder email addresses on
different web-pages you can easily count how many requests
came from each page, testing which web-page generates the
biggest interest.

To track ezine advertisement response you will also have to
setup a different autoresponders for each ezine you plan to
run your advert in. At the end you will see how many people
each ezine has sent you and generated the biggest income.

Dominating majority of web-hosting plans, offered today on
the Internet market, come with simple, usually unlimited,
email autoresponders. That means they can help in 4 main
cases that we have discussed above, except for timely
delivered emails. That is because they imply one-time reply
email, so you can setup (1) customer support emails, (2)
subscription notifications to both your subscriber and
yourself, (4) publications on request, (5) response
tracking, but (3) timely delivered emails like email
follow-ups or courses.

In order to offer automatic, say, weekly, email courses you
will have to look for:

1) custom autoresponder internet application (script);
2) 3rd party autoresponder providers.

The rule of thumb is to know your needs and resources. First
choice is preferable if you know what FTP and CGI mean or
have someone with basic knowledge of how scripts are setup,
want to install it once and forever, have time and money to
make one-time investment. You can even try to find free
script that in some cases may be even quicker to setup than
sign up for some 3rd party service.

Autoresponder service, provided by independent Internet
company, is easier for new comers as all technical stuff
will be hidden, leaving simple web-interface to manage your
autoresponders. For such convenience Internet companies will
charge you on monthly or yearly basis, although there are
free so-called adware autoresponders available.

In general you can find discounted all-in-one services,
hosting offers or mailing lists coming with follow-up
autoreponders and allowing you to save money.

Determine the Viability of Your Target Audience BEFORE You Begin Marketing

You’ve heard a hundred times before how important it is to have a plan for who to market to, an ideal client profile or target audience. In my book, it’s one of the most crucial things to put in place for attracting clients like crazy, because if you don’t know who you’re talking to, you won’t know what to say.

The question you now have to ask yourself is, “Have I chosen a viable target audience?” meaning, is it actually worthwhile to market to these people?

You can have all the focus, drive, good intentions to market to a group of people, but if they’re not easily reached in large numbers and inexpensively, if they don’t congregate often or they’re too difficult to locate, it’s going to make your Client Attraction attempts much more difficult.

Here are some questions to ask yourself (be a hard grader):

  • Can you find them easily?
  • Is there a “list” of these people somewherean association of them, support groups, alliances, for example?
  • Are there enough of them? Even if your target audience is small in the grand scheme of the population, there still needs to be a massive number of these people for you to stay in business.
  • Do they have a problem worth solving?
  • Does this problem hurt enough?
  • Do they have the ability to pay for your services?

Your Assignment:

Once you’ve gotten clear on a target audience or a niche, it’s important to ask yourself the hard questions listed above. Take out a sheet of paper and really answer these. If the answers are repeatedly “no,” then consider looking for another niche. It’ll make the whole Client Attraction process much easier in the long run.

If you’re not sure where to start with fine tuning your target audience in the first place, check out The Client Attraction Home Study System. Step by step, I take you through everything you need to do to stand out in the marketplace, pull clients in easily and consistently, and exactly what to say to turn them into paying clients.
