************Article Begins Here************

There are several factors that determine the benefit that you get when you exchange links with any website. Sometimes you may be giving away some of your hard earned PR (Page Rank) without getting it back in return. While it is debatable if the primary purpose of exchanges is the traffic or the PR gain, a combination of both these motivations is usually present when we exchange links. Apart from the direct traffic, some of the other factors that help to determine the value of an incoming link are

1> The PR and number of links The higher the PR of the page linking to your site, the better the link in general. The PR that a page has, gets distributed between all the links on that page, so the PR and the number of links together should be used to determine the worth of a link. You can use the PR Checker tool at http://biz-whiz.com/prchecker.html to compare the pr transfer figures, this tool provides an exact value for the estimated pr transfer based on a presumed formula.

2> Direct or Redirected Link Some sites like to keep track of which link gets how many clicks. Many people believe that this will prevent the PR from flowing; generally this is true but not always. A 302 redirect is a temporary redirect which does not pass the PR, where as a 301 permanent redirect allows the PR to flow. For example, see the google back links at http://www.google.com/search?q=link:http://biz-whiz.com/ebooks/im m/ you will find that all the links are redirected from http://biz-whiz.com/Downloads-req-getit-lid-4.html - This is true for all our ebooks for sale at http://biz-whiz.com/Downloads-req-viewdownload-cid-5.html - So the point I am making is that not all redirected links are bad. The HTTP Headers tool in the IP Toolbox at http://biz-whiz.com/Sections-article17-page1.html can be used to find out if the redirect is a 301 or 302. It is a good idea to allow the partner webmaster the choice of a direct link or a redirected link as done at our link submission page for our links directory at http://biz-whiz.com/Web_Links-req-AddLink.html

3> Meta Tags The robots meta tags determines if a page will be indexed by the searchengine or not. If the page linking to you has a meta tag like then there is no use of a link from that page

4> robots.txt exclusions The robots.txt file is used to inform the searchengine spider which pages on a site should not be indexed. When you exchange links it is a good practice to look at domainname/robots.txt just to get an idea if the page where your link is going to be placed is within reach of the crawlers - or not.

5> javascript includes or redirects Some webmasters may place links in an external javascript file! Google has been crawling external .js files and it is not likely that the search engines can be fooled. You should always prefer an on page link to a javascript link.

6> IFRAMES An IFRAME is a page inside another page. If you encounter a site that is using an IFRAME to link to other sites, you should visit the IFRAME url and check the PR of that page independent of the outer page. You should determine the worth of the link by the PR of the inner page.

7> In Context Links There is a good amount of speculation and I myself do believe that incontext links are given more importance by the searchengines. So if there was a choice between an in-context link like The work at home business community … and a standalone link like Work at Home I would certainly go for the in-context link.

8> Link Title It is important to have your keywords in your link text. In addition to the link text the link ‘title’ parameter also is believed to play some role. Work at Home is preferable to Work at Home When you move your mouse over the first link, you will find a small tooltip like description for the link. The title parameter works link the alt for images.

9> Bold Links in bold are believed to be given more importance, Work at Home Is preferable to Work at Home

10> Prominence Some people have debated that the higher on the page that your link appears, the more important it is considered by the search engines.

Those are the points to remember when you exchange links. When you search in google for link:yoursite.com you will be able to see the important backlinks for your site (or your competitor’s). Usually pages with PR4 and above will show in google backlinks and these links are the most valuable link partners from the viewpoint of the search engines.

How To Find Relevant Web Sites For Link Exchanges

If you’ve been on the internet very long at all, you know that
one of the very best and certainly cheapest ways of making your
web site known is by exchanging links with other sites similar
to yours. The more relevant sites that link to yours, the more
your rating will improve, the more people looking for whatever
you have will find your site, the more traffic you will get and
the more sales you will make! So just how do you go about
finding webmasters who are willing to place a link to your new
site onto their site? When your site is brand new, your best bet
is to type your key words or phrases into a search engine and
see what comes up. The sites you see on the first few pages have
made it to the top of the search engine rankings. Go to the
sites and look around on the home page for the phrase “links
exchange” or sometimes just “links.” They will have instructions
for how to place their site on yours, and instructions on the
information they need from you in order for them to place a link
to your site on theirs. Always remember that the Golden Rule
applies here. You want them to place a link to you on their site
so you need to reciprocate. If you are uncomfortable with the
content of their links page and would prefer not to be
associated with that site, then just move on. There are millions
of others. Some of the higher ranked sites will have non-content
related restrictions about with whom they will exchange links.
They will only exchange with you if your site and/or links pages
have achieved a certain Google PageRank. (*More about that
later.) If you encounter such a site, graciously just move on.
Don’t waste your time linking to them or requesting a reciprocal
link because they will most likely ignore you. For instructions
on Keeping Track Of Your Links Exchanges, please follow the link
to another article that I wrote. Trust me on this one; you need
to keep track. You will eventually have many many pages with
similar sounding titles and URL’s and they will all begin to
swim around in your mind. Only a savant could keep it straight!
OK. Now your site has been up and running for awhile and you
would like to focus your search on exchanging links with sites
that have a higher PageRank. Repeat your very first steps of
typing your key words or phrases into a search engine and see
what comes up. It may or may not be the same sites you saw
before, but it will be the current top ranked sites for those
key words. Go to the first site just as before, but this time
click on the little blue icon on your Google toolbar (if you
don’t have the Google tool bar click here to download it.) You
will see a dropdown menu with 4 items on it. Click on “backward
links” and you will get a page of web sites that looks like a
regular Google search but is really all of the web pages with a
PageRank of at least 4 that have linked back to the site you
started with. Go to each of those sites and request to exchange
links with them. The procedure is the same, but all of these
sites and pages will have a PageRank of at least 4 and the more
pages ranked at least 4 that link back to you, the higher your
site will be rated. Just keep plugging away at it. It is tedious
to the max, but free (unlike some programs on the market) and
effective. At some point in time, other webmasters will begin to
contact you requesting to exchange links. Ta-daahhh! You’ve made
it! The first thing you need to do is visit their site. Is their
site relevant to yours? Are you comfortable putting a link to
their site on yours? Would you want your Grandma to visit your
site and follow that link? If the answer is yes, then put up the
link. E-mail them back to thank them for the offer and to let
them know where on your site you put their link. If you are not
comfortable putting the link on your site, don’t worry about it.
You will get requests from people who obviously didn’t read that
you prefer not to link to casinos and Viagra sites or whatever,
and you will get requests to exchange links with sites that have
absolutely nothing to do with your site’s subject matter. Just
ignore them, or you could reply and politely decline. Now here
comes some more Golden Rule stuff. NEVER turn down somebody
because their site or links page isn’t ranked high enough!
Remember that you once had a whole site of “0″ ranked pages and
were so grateful for any of the exchanges you could get. Return
the favor. Remember that you were new once and others helped
you. Remember that the “Big Kahunas” on the internet were new
once and had “0″ ranked pages that are now very highly ranked.
That new person you agree to link to today could be tomorrow’s
next “Big Kahuna.” Remember that Google has pulled the rug out
from under people before and likely will do it again. Today’s
top site could be tomorrow’s cellar dweller, and next week some
site could shoot out of nowhere to the top. You don’t have to
put their “0″ page on your “6″ or “7″ home page, but do exchange
links with them somewhere on your site. It’s the right thing to
do.

6 Simple Ways Writing Articles Will Improve Your Link Popularity and Increase Visitors to Your Web S

Article writing and distribution creates free one way incoming links back to your web site. Link building in this manner increases your web sites exposure, visitors and you overall search engine rankings. By using the following techniques you can dramatically improve your web site traffic in a very short period of time.

1. Create Viral Content For Your Web Site - Add your own resource box/byline to your articles and post them on your web site. You could allow your visitors to publish the articles on their web site if they also include your resource box and keep your hyperlink active. This will spread your link around the internet like a virus and increase your link popularity fast.

2. Submit your articles to free content web sites for other webmasters to reprint for publishing. When you include your resource box at the end of the article with your website URL you will not only get free advertising but you will get a link back to your site. This will increase your link popularity and cause your site to rank higher in the search engines.

3. Combine your articles into a free e-book. You can place your business ad and hyperlinks back to your site in the e-book. E-book creating software is inexpensive and easy to use. By giving your e-book away to visitors and allowing them to link to your site to give it away to their visitors will multiply your web site traffic, exposure and link popularity.

4. Create an article directory on your web site. People will visit your web site to get the free information. By allowing them to reprint your articles with the stipulation that they keep the resource box and hyperlink active you will increase your link popularity. Also allow your visitors to place a link on their web site that links back to your article directory. By providing your free “instant article directory” to their visitors you will increase your web site’s exposure and receive a percentage of their visitors as well.

5. Offer other web sites, that are relevant to your own, free content articles about your area of expertise to post on their web site. Include your link on all of your content. Your article should be related to your web site because it will bring you visitors that are interested in your product or service.

6. Use an article distribution service that distributes articles to thousands of web sites, newsletters and ezines at one time. Your article will be published on dozens of web sites almost immediately. I used this technique with an article distribution service called thephantomwriters.com and got literally thousands of links from only four articles. Distribute your articles several times and you will increase your exposure. Change your article’s title and redistribute it several times more to maximize your article’s potential.

As you can clearly see, writing and distributing articles can have a profound affect on your web site’s exposure. There is absolutely no better or faster way to increase your web site’s exposure, link popularity and search engine rankings.

Getting Inbound Links is as Easy as 1-2-3.

Your success on the internet is directly related to how many other sites are linking back to yours. The goal of every webmaster is to get more inbound links. I have listed three simple steps below to automate and multiply the process. Once the process is started you will be getting inbound links while you sleep.

Number One:

Write Articles. It is hard work to write a quality article but you will find it to be a long term strategy for building inbound links that will pay off for years to come in both link popularity and traffic to your website. You may not consider yourself an expert on a particular subject, but if you have a website I’ll bet you are an expert on the subject you have chosen for that website. Write an article on the theme of your website and submit it to the various article directories on the internet. Believe it or not, you are an expert. You just haven’t realize it yet.

Your article will be published with a link pointing to your site. Make sure that the text link has the keywords in it you have carefully chosen. For example, your keywords here .

You may experience a feeding frenzy on your article. Why? Simply because webmasters are constantly looking for content. Webmasters are busy designing sites and are able to save time by using expert content from other people. They often create websites with thousands of pages and are in need of content for those sites. And they know where the directories are that will contain your article. Every time your article is picked up by a webmaster, it will result in a link back to your site. In the first few days after I submitted my first article it got pick up and posted 400 times! I was shocked. You will be too!

Number Two:

Signup at a link exchange coop. A link exchange coop can give you more backlinks in a few minutes work than you could ever generate by yourself. You are utilizing a network of thousands of other websites. And that’s what the internet is, a huge network. Take advantage of the power of networking. There are many link exchanges. One well known link exchange coop is: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/ad-network/?s=4380. Depending on the size and pagerank of your site, you could earn 1000 inbound links or more my adding a few lines of code to your website. Do some research and find the one that will bring the greatest benefit to your site.

Number Three:

Automate the reciprocal linking process by utilizing reciprocal linking software. Do not spend hours upon hours emailing webmasters and posting reciprocal links to your site. Simple buy a reciprocal link script, set it up at your website and it will process the links, add them to your website and then it will monitor to make sure each webmaster has posted your link to his/her website. This will free up your time to do something more important like writing articles. To find inexpensive software to automate the reciprocal linking process, simply go to eBay and type in the search phrase “reciprocal linking popularity software”.

Rather than doing things the same old way, try these three steps. They will save you countless hours. By using these time savers you will be much more efficient in getting backlinks and you will also get hundreds, maybe even thousands more than you ever thought possible.

There it is. Easy as 1-2-3.

Majestic Day to Day Collection

It sure took long enough for the sunshine to break through the months of cloudy weather we have had. Time to at last take the tiller out of the shed and get to work…

Need to build up some energy? No problem! Need a cultivator for the garden this year? I have you covered…here is the oddest link roundup you’ll see for a while:

Planting

So many choices for a rototiller these days. The ground you till should be a major factor in choosing a rototiller. Shipping a tiller can be expensive but prices are cheap online. The best place for cultivators that I found is the Rototiller Store. I can’t believe how easy the tiller store website is to use. Visit the website as soon as you can. You can buy a rototiller in a store or online. They might end up cost about the same but one gets delivered right to your door. Great deal!

Energizing

A glimmer of hope in the economy? Want to be energized? I sure do. That’s why I joined this program that sells energy drinks - they’re healthy too. There is nothing like drinking this energy drink and getting a rush of energy that simply does not run out or crash. And it’s healthy. Do you need to stay up all night? This stuff will do it to you. Boost of energy all night! The energy drink by efusjon only has 40 or 60 calories. You need to go pounce on this efusjon opportunity right now. Don’t wait another second - join the ‘a’ team today. They are successful. Never before seeen - the matrix for helping you succeed is in a forced matrix. It doesn’t take long with a strong team to make money. Can’t Wait!

Log Splitters

You haven’t put away that wood splitter yet?!? No problem. Maintaining a commercial sized log splitter can be annoying. Splitters last longer if cleaned good. If you’re in the market for a inexpensive wood splitter, check out the site Log Splitter Sale.com. One of the best documents you should review before buying a splitter is found on the site listed above. Check it out. Low prices, good info, can’t beat that.

Alright! That’s a wrap.
